The Truth About Pedro Obaseki and the PDP vomit

Image
There is no doubt that Governor Monday Okpebholo’s security agenda in Edo State remains firm, deliberate and results-driven, regardless of the cheap noise, manufactured outrage and political scavenging currently being peddled by the factional Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following the Pedro Obaseki incident. As a party the APC views the incident involving Dr. Pedro Obaseki as regrettable, unfortunate. Now that it is being handled by the appropriate security agencies, common sense demands restraint. Investigations are ongoing. No one has been shielded. No one has been excused. Everything else the decaying PDP has vomited into the public space is either fiction, conjecture and outright political nonsense. What the scum called PDP has done is to hijack an isolated incident and weaponise it in a desperate bid to smear Governor Okpebholo’s administration and discredit a security architecture that is working and steadily to restore order to Edo State. This is not concern for justice; it is...

OKPEBHOLO'S ANTI-CULTISM WAR PREVAILS - By Kassim Afegbua.

Image
For the first time in nine years, Xmas celebrations crept away without bloodbath in Benin City and other major towns in the state. It was the first sigh of relief after such a long time, being detained by the unwholesome activities of cultism.  Benin City is breathing air of nourishment, air of refreshment, of freedom and air of recovery from the octopoidal grip of cultism since Governor Okpebholo took the mantle of leadership in the state. Night life has resumed in Benin. The new feeling is one of celebration.  Those who visited Benin City from far and wide, in and outside the country, have cause to celebrate and appreciate the intervention of the Governor in ensuring that all was well. There was first of its kind carnival celebration that added to the beauty of the celebrations.  There were comedy shows that drew A-artists from across the country. Several events took place in Benin City and they were held in an atmosphere of peace, tranquility and calm. The question eas...

The Magic of Christmas - By Prince Kassim Afegbua

Image
Christmas is a good time to remember that what really matters is the people next to us. That we don't need big things to be happy, just good times. Sometimes we forget, but the real magic of Christmas holiday is in those small gestures that don't cost money: a phone call, a visit, a smile.  Christmas gives us the perfect excuse to stop for a moment and appreciate what we have. May this festive season find us grateful and generous. May this time of year help us to be more aware of how fortunate we are and to share that fortune with those in need.  The best Christmas gifts don't come in a box: they are long conversations, leisurely dinners, and sincere hugs.  Merry Christmas to you and your family.  Prince Kassim Afegbua & family.

Ahead of the 2024 governorship election, opposition parties invested heavily in negative campaigns, questioning the personality and capacity of Senator Monday Okpebholo. While critics were preoccupied with noise-making, the All ...
