Lucky Eboh-Onokwe celebrates a platinum birthday with friends and relations in Benin City. In their various contributions during the 70th birthday party, the invited guests described the celebrant as a man of many parts. An elder from St. Mark's Anglican Church, Mr. Michael Omorotionwan  who commended the youthfulness of the celebrant, stated that, "We thought that he is about fifty years, but he is a grandfather. He is an activists, a workaholic, never tired. A man of many parts and a gift to our generation," he added. According to elder Omorotionwan who came with other members of the Church, including Revd. Edo Youths Urged to Plant Trees and Adopt Flood Mitigation and Reforestation Initiative

  Benin City, Edo State – A youth-led environmental initiative in transforming communities in Edo State, equipping young people with the knowledge and tools to mitigate floods and promote reforestation. Spearheaded by Davies Ugowe, Chairman of the Sustainable Environment and Greenlife Empowerment Foundation (SEGEF), and powered by LEAP Africa and the Nigerian Youth Future Fund, the “Empowering Green: Transforming Youth and Environment” project has already impacted local schools and planted over 193 trees in just two months. As part of SEGEF’s Nigeria Green Earth Initiative (NGEi), this project focuses on flood prevention and environmental sustainability through the involvement of local youth. International financial system ‘not fit for purpose’ to address catastrophic debt crisis: UN poverty expert

Urges Deltans to pray for him at this trying time Director General, Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has said that the arrest of former governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa by the officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, as reported by a section of the media does not in any way fracture his enviable reputation. Dr Oghenesivbe made the assertion on Monday night, saying that under the legal principle of presumption of innocence, Senator Okowa may be interrogated and released without criminal prosecution or until proven guilty by a Court of competent jurisdiction He noted that EFCC usually invite suspects based on criminal allegations, which may be true or false, and the Law recognizes the innocence of all accused persons until proven otherwise.
