Residents of Charismatic Church Road, off Ekenhuan Road in Benin City, broke into jubilation as the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, visited the area to inspect the ongoing road construction project. The 1.4-kilometre road, being handled by Place of Peace Investment Limited, has brought renewed hope to residents and business owners who had endured years of hardship due to the previously dilapidated condition of the road. Excited by the governor’s presence and the visible progress of work, residents gathered in large numbers, cheering and expressing gratitude for what they described as a long-awaited intervention. One of the residents, Blessing Patrick, said the road had been abandoned for years, making movement almost impossible. She said, "For many years, we no dey pass this road.
