Christabel Otueroro Foundation holds Christmas Party For Children with Special Needs.
He made the commendation during the 2025 Children's party organized by Christabel Otueroro Foundation in Benin city.
According to him, "disability inclusiveness is not an act of charity. We are asking for inclusiveness and empowerment, not charity.
" The society cannot develop if some people are left behind. Let us remove the barriers and our society will be a better place," he noted.
The welfare officer, School of the physically challenged, Pastor, Oshiovue Sylvester said there is Hope for every child with disability.
While also commending Christabel Otueroro Foundation for organizing the Christmas party every year, he called on others to emulate this kind gestures.
The headmistress of the school of the physically challenged, Mrs Idede Blessing appealed to parents of physically challenged children not to be discouraged because the children are blessing in disguise.
In his opening remarks, the Executive Director, Christabel Otueroro Foundation, Amb. Onome Otueroro who was recently given the best coordinator award by the Association for Intellectual and Development disabilities of Nigeria, AIDDN disclosed that these children are special and important
According to him, no child is useless and God did not create a useless child.
While advising that no child should be mocked with their disability, Amb Onome, the Edo State Coordinator, Intellectual and Development Disabilities Cluster, IDD also noted that children with intellectual disability are mostly relegated amongst people with disabilities, PWD.
There was a free eye test by Dr. Ese Oghene, Director, Clarise Eye Clinic and the children had fun, dancing with lots of food and drinks during the Christmas party.
