Federated Chapel Celebrates Edo Sports Commission Chairman on Edo Queens’ Historic Victory

 

The Federated Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, has congratulated the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Amadin Desmond Enabulele, following the remarkable triumph of Edo Queens FC in the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership.

In a congratulatory message, the Chairperson of the Federated Chapel, Onyenweli Mercy, described the victory as a testament to the visionary leadership, commitment, and strategic support provided by the Edo State Sports Commission under Enabulele's stewardship. Edo Queens emerged champions of the NWFL Super Six after an impressive campaign that saw them secure their second league title, further cementing Edo State's reputation as a powerhouse in Nigerian sports.

The chapel commended the chairman for creating an enabling environment for sports development and for sustaining policies that have continued to produce positive results across various sporting disciplines in the state.

It noted that the success of Edo Queens reflects the commission's dedication to excellence, talent development, and the promotion of women's football. 

The Federated Chapel also praised the players, coaching crew, and management of Edo Queens for their resilience, discipline, and determination throughout the season, urging them to maintain the winning spirit as they prepare to represent Nigeria on the continental stage.

The chapel reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote sports development in Edo State and expressed confidence that under Enabulele's leadership, the state's sporting sector will continue to achieve greater milestones.
