ANNOUNCEMENT: 14 DAYS MID- YEAR, FASTING AND PRAYER FOR EDO STATE_

 


Dear esteemed Christian faithfuls and Edolites,

The Chaplain of Government House Chapel and Special Adviser to the Governor of Religious Matters, Apostle (Dr.) Sule Faraday Azekhumen, humbly requests the honour of your participation in a Mid- year 14-days fasting and prayer session for Continuous Peace and Progress for Edo State. ( Esther 4:16, Matthew 17:21,

Philippians 4:6-7, Isaiah 26:3, John 14:27, 2, Thessalonians 3:16; Psalm 29:11 says the Lord blesses His people with strength and "peace".)

Join His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, Executive Governor of Edo State, as we seek God's continuous peace, protection, and progress for our beloved state.

Details of the Program:

- Duration: , Monday, 1st  June to Sunday, 14th June 2026

- Time: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm daily

- Participation: All religious bodies, devoted clergies, and religious-conscious Edolites are invited to participate, regardless of their religious background

We encourage those who can, to join the Chaplain for a sectional dry fasting during the entire duration of 14 days. However, we also advise those who may be weak in their body to exercise restraint and participate within their means.

Your participation in this spiritual exercise will contribute significantly to the fostering of continuous Peace, protection, and progress in Edo State.

Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to the well-being of our state.

Gov Okpebholo Leads APC Delegation on Condolence Visit to Okao of Ologbo

  Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo led a high-powered delegation of government officials and party leaders on a condolence visit to the Okao of Ologbo, Chief Emmanuel Iyase, following the passing of his wife, Mrs. Mandaline Iyase. The visit, which drew prominent figures from the state’s political leadership, was marked by solemn reflections and words of comfort for the grieving family. Speaking during the visit, Governor Okpebholo said he came alongside key stakeholders, including the local government chairman and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to sympathize with Chief Iyase over the painful loss. Today, we celebrate the men and women whose daily efforts keep our state moving forward. From teachers to health workers, civil servants, artisans, traders, and security personnel, you are the backbone of Edo’s progress. I thank you all. Let me also appreciate our labour leaders for their support and cooperation, which have sustained a cordial relationship between labour and government. Your constructive engagement has helped us focus on development. From the first day of this administration, workers’ welfare has remained a top priority.
