GERMAN AMBASSADOR VISITS EDO HEALTH COMMISSIONER, COMMENDS GOV. MONDAY OKPEBHOLO’S REFORMS


 Daniel Krull, German Ambassador to Nigeria, paid a courtesy visit to the Edo State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Cyril Adams Oshiomhole, at the Ministry of Health in Benin City, to explore strategic areas of collaboration within the health sector.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Germany and Edo State, particularly in improving healthcare delivery, enhancing medical infrastructure, promoting sustainable health initiatives, and expanding capacity building and knowledge exchange.

In his remarks, the Commissioner expressed sincere appreciation for the visit, emphasizing that partnerships of this nature are critical to advancing quality, accessible, and sustainable healthcare services for the people of Edo State. He reaffirmed the commitment of the state government under the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, to fostering impactful international collaborations that will drive meaningful health sector reforms.

Ambassador Krull commended the Edo State Government under Governor Monday Okpebholo for its ongoing reforms and deliberate efforts to reposition the health sector for greater efficiency and improved service delivery. He reiterated Germany’s commitment to supporting sustainable development initiatives and deepening cooperation with the state.

The meeting concluded with a shared resolve to advance discussions and develop structured frameworks that will translate their engagement into long-term, result-oriented collaboration in the health sector.
