Edo State Partners Global Firm to Provide Affordable Pipe-Borne Water For All

 

In a strategic and humanitarian-driven effort to improve the lives of Edo citizens, the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, in strong synergy with the Edo State Urban Water Corporation and the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Finance, Investment and Revenue, has partnered with Alpha Oxum to deliver clean and affordable pipe-borne water across Edo State.

This initiative reflects the compassionate leadership and visionary governance of the Edo State Governor, whose administration continues to prioritize the welfare and dignity of the people. Access to clean water, a basic human necessity, has been placed at the forefront of his humanitarian agenda, demonstrating a government that truly listens and responds to the needs of its citizens.

Speaking during the inspection of the Ikpoba Hill Dawn River, the Special Adviser, Hon. Adamu Johnson, emphasized that water remains a critical concern for the state government. He reaffirmed that the Governor’s vision is clear and unwavering: to ensure that every home, urban and rural alike, has access to clean, safe, and affordable water. According to him, this project is not just infrastructure, but a lifeline that will significantly improve health, sanitation, and overall quality of life for Edo people.

The inspection team also included key government officials and stakeholders whose dedication continues to drive this noble mission forward. Among them were Hon. Uyi Ekhosuehi, Managing Director/CEO of the Edo State Urban Water Corporation; Hon. Kizito Okpebholo, Special Adviser to the Governor on Finance, Investment and Revenue; Alex Lattmann, Chief Visionary Officer/President Alphan Oxum; and Eragbai Jide, Nigeria representative, Alpha Oxum. 

Together, this collaboration represents a powerful blend of governance, technical expertise, and international partnership, working hand in hand to deliver sustainable solutions for the people.

  Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo led a high-powered delegation of government officials and party leaders on a condolence visit to the Okao of Ologbo, Chief Emmanuel Iyase, following the passing of his wife, Mrs. Mandaline Iyase.
