Residents of Ogba-Evbuodia , Uholor, Irhue Obagie and Other communities commend Gov Okpebholo For Improved Road Infrastructure

Residents of Ogba-Evbuodia, Uholor and Irhue Obagie Communities are commending the governor of Edo State Senator Monday Okpebholo for improved road infrastructure across these communities in Oredo Local Government area which has brought development and growth.

Governor Okpebholo under his SHINE Agenda has continued to improve road infrastructure across the State, building a road of network connecting communities, villages across the three Senatorial District area of Edo State. 

The ongoing construction of Upper Airport road is a strategic road which after completion will link several Communities to Upper Ekenwan road opening up the road to economic growth and development.

The Communities that will be benefiting from this link road includes Ogba-Evbuodia- evbuobioba and irhue-Obagie as the people of this area are commending Governor Okpebholo for his continuous  effort at transforming the road  infrastructure across the State especially in Oredo Local Government Area of the State.

Residents while thanking the governor for the ongoing construction of phase one of the Ogba-Evbuodia, Evbuobioba with a spur to  lrhue-Obagie linking   upper Ekenwan road with coverts described the road projects as a needed intervention that has brought succor to benefiting Communities after years of neglect by previous administration.

Mr. Moses Odeo, a bike rider in Uholor Community said the contractors handling the road project have been working, doing quality jobs since the project started and the project began after the Ogba river bridge along Airport road. He commended the contractor over the quality of work done by the contractor handling the project.

"Commercial activities have improved in the locality as the muddy road during every year rainy season which has been a serious trouble for the people in the area has disappeared and travel time reduced.

A Land lord in Evbuobioba Community Mr. Edward Okunzuwa disclosed that the road in the past was not motorable and made movement  of Agricultural products a difficult task in the Community.

He thanked the Edo State government for improving road infrastructure in the area and have restored confidence among residents and investors, expressing hope that when  completed, the project will enhance economic activities and improve security in the neighbourhood.

An Estate Agent, Nurudeen Ekhorutomwen says he is impressed with the construction of the road that links several Communities and emerging Estates in the area.

Ekhorutomwen said, “we want to appreciate Governor Okpebholo  for this quality road which will improve economic activities in the area.

Team  Lead of Gladtrico International Ltd and the contractor handling the Iyekogba road project Engr Tamiyu Ibrahim, the project starts from Ogba river to Uholor with a spur to Evbuobioba linking Ekenwan road.

According to Engr Ibrahim,"We have done a lot on this project and we have almost completed all our concrete work and now  we are facing the Earth's work and pavement, you can see that we are laying the stone base now and after that we will start our Asphalt work again.

"Last year we had done a section of the asphalt and which will intend to continue as we have done about seven kilometres of line drainage, and seven ring covers to take the water from the community to the river", he concluded.

Gov Okpebholo Leads APC Delegation on Condolence Visit to Okao of Ologbo

  Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo led a high-powered delegation of government officials and party leaders on a condolence visit to the Okao of Ologbo, Chief Emmanuel Iyase, following the passing of his wife, Mrs. Mandaline Iyase.
