New Edo NAWOJ Chairperson, Comrade Habiba Sam Promises an all Inclusive administration- By Ovis Enahoro
The newly elected Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) , Edo State Council, Mrs Habiba Sam has promised an all inclusive and progressive administration during her tenure.elected and inaugurated a new leadership led by Akwa Ibom State Correspondent, as Chairperson.
She disclosed this during the inauguration ceremony of the new leadership of NAWOJ which was held at the conference hall of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Press Center in Benin City
According to the NAWOJ Chairperson, the administration will run an all inclusive and progressive administration, as well as bring all members of the association together to drive collective growth of members.
“I pledge to strengthen this bond, promoting harmony and collaboration amongst members," she noted
While commending the contribution of the out going Executive, she promised to build on the existing legacies and surmount their achievements.
The State Chairman of NUJ, Edo State Council, Dr. Festus Alenkhe congratulated the new executive and urged them to carry out their activities in line with the constitution of the union.
He also assured the new executive of his support and fatherly role, stressing that his doors are opened for guidance.
Speaking earlier while dissolving the out going Executive, the South South National Secretary of zone F, Mrs Stella Macauley admonished the newly elected executive to always consult the state leadership of the NUJ in sensitive issues and ensure they maximize their positions to make NAWOJ vibrant in the state.
The outgoing Chairperson of NAWOJ, Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan expressed her appreciation to the Chairman of NUJ, Dr. Festus Alenkhe for the support she enjoyed all through her 6-year as Chairperson of the association and appealed that such should be extended to the newly elected Executive.

2. Oyemwense Ode- Vice- Chairman
3. Joy Ebuanekpe- Secretary
4. Joyce Alohan- Assistant secretary
5. Iyabo Osagiede – Treasurer
6. Elizabeth Owotuoma- Financial secretary
7. Anita Erhenhi- Auditor
