In the hallowed halls of Nigerian leadership, one luminary shines bright - Major General Cecil Esekhaigbe, a titan of service, a paragon of excellence. Born February 9, 1959, in Irrua, Edo State, General Cecil's ascent to greatness was fueled by an insatiable thirst for knowledge and an unyielding passion for nation-building.

A product of Annunciation Catholic College, Irrua, and the Nigerian Defense Academy, General Cecil's academic pedigree is matched only by his storied military career. Over three decades, he distinguished himself as a commanding officer, serving with honor in Nigeria, Yugoslavia, and ECOWAS.

His intellectual prowess earned him degrees from Lagos State University, University of Lagos, and Ambrose Ali University Ekpoma. A true Renaissance man, General Cecil's expertise spans political science, international law, and strategic studies.

Awards and accolades followed his trailblazing career: Forces Service Star, Meritorious Service Star, Distinguished Service Star - the list is a testament to his selfless service.

Today, General Cecil continues to shape Nigeria's future as a consultant to the UNDP, AfDB, and National Economic Council. 

His legacy inspires a nation, and his birthday is a celebration of a life devoted to excellence.

Here's to you, General Cecil Esekhaigbe - a hero, a leader, and a shining example of Nigerian greatness!

Gov Okpebholo Leads APC Delegation on Condolence Visit to Okao of Ologbo

  Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo led a high-powered delegation of government officials and party leaders on a condolence visit to the Okao of Ologbo, Chief Emmanuel Iyase, following the passing of his wife, Mrs. Mandaline Iyase. The visit, which drew prominent figures from the state’s political leadership, was marked by solemn reflections and words of comfort for the grieving family. Speaking during the visit, Governor Okpebholo said he came alongside key stakeholders, including the local government chairman and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to sympathize with Chief Iyase over the painful loss.
