Prince Joe Okojie's Lenten Season Message to the People of Edo Central Senatorial District



The Lenten Season is a sacred time for self-reflection, spiritual renewal, and reconciliation with God. It invites us to contemplate the life, suffering, sacrifice, death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. In addition, it calls us to reflect on the role of alms giving in our faith and to remember the fragility of human life and our need for divine grace.

In the book of Proverbs 31:8-9, we are reminded: "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy."

As we journey through this Lenten season, let us center our thoughts and actions on both inward and outward renewal. May we seek God in every aspect of our lives, embracing freedom, generosity, and meaningful encounters with others. Let this season be one of prayer, reflection, and compassion.

May God guide us all to be better stewards of His love and justice in our communities.
