Gov. Okpebholo restores land to Former Governor Ibori, Megisson and others

The Executive Governor of Edo State,  Senator Monday Okpebholo has restored to  Chief James Ibori, the former Governor of Delta State the parcel of land lying and situate in the Government Reservation Area of Benin which Certificate of Occupancy was revoked by the former Governor Godwin Obaseki.

The said land was subsequently given to Hon Mathew Iduoriyekemwen by  Godwin Obaseki

In the same vein, the Governor  also restored to Captain Nogie Megisson, the parcel of land whose Certificate of Occupancy was similarly revoked by Godwin Obaseki maliciously,

In the same circumstances. Governor Monday Okpebholo believes that the action of Godwin Obaseki was maliciously and politically motivated.

For the Governor, such actions are repugnant to civility, natural justice, equity and good conscience and cannot be allowed to stand .

There are several other lands revoked by  Obaseki  that follow the same pattern and are altogether ineffectual and barren.

It is Governor Monday Okpebholo's position that  public goods cannot be sacrificed at the altar of political considerations.

Hon Paul Ohonbamu.

Edo State Commissioner for Information and Communications
