2nd Term: Senator Imasuen Promises to Bring more Development to Edo South
The Senator representing Edo South Senatorial District, Senator Neda Imasuen has reaffirmed his commitment to consolidate his achievements in the National Assembly when re-elected.
The Senator who disclosed this to Journalists in Benin City, noted that his re-election would consolidate the experience he had gained in the National Assembly so far.
Senator Imasuen, Chairman, Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions said he prefers results over self promotion, adding that, " Politics demands spending more to advertise achievements than delivering them. But my records speak for itself."
While thanking the Journalists, for their solidarity, Senator Imasuen who emphasized his commitment to accountability, appealed for continued media partnership to amplify his efforts and counter political misinformation.
A former Edo State Commissioner for Transport and also a Publisher, Hon. Orobosa Omo- Ojo highlighted Senator Imasuen achievements, which includes rural electrification in over 200 communities, facilitation of Federal appointments, provision of clean water projects, agricultural support for farmers, scholarships, JAMB sponsorships and empowerment schemes for artisans and and traditional birth attendants and others.
The Chairperson, Federated Chapel, Mercy Onyenweli pledged media support to the Senator and requested his assistance to equip the Chapel's Secretariat.
The convener of meeting, attended by members of the Federated Chapel and Edo South Journalists Forum, Comrade Edosa Okunbo said the initiative was to ensure that Edo South produce a senator capable of attracting more developments to the district.
"Our task is to promote Edo South Leaders who deliver real dividends of democracy and Senator Imasuen has done that," he added.
